What this site collects.
This page covers this website only. Each product publishes its own policy for the data that product handles.
The short version
There is no account to create and no login, and the site holds no database. If you read a few pages and leave, what remains is a line in a server log and, if you agreed to it, an analytics event.
The one field on this site
After you have been reading a while, a card may appear at the bottom of the page offering a 15-minute review, with a box for your email address.
That address is never sent to us and never stored here. It is put into the booking page's own link and your browser goes there, so the only system that receives it is the scheduling provider — the same as if you had typed it on their site yourself. This site has nowhere to put it: there is no database, and no part of this application accepts a submission.
If no scheduling link is configured, the button opens your own email program with a message addressed to us instead. Nothing is sent until you send it.
Dismissing the card is remembered in your browser's local storage so you are not asked again for a month. That is a record of your choice and nothing else, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records ordinary web-server data for each request: the IP address, the time, the page requested, the response status, and the browser's user-agent string. This is used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or errors. It is not used to build a profile of you and it is not sold or shared for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. No session cookie, no preference cookie, nothing.
If website analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies — but only after you agree. Consent starts as denied before any analytics code loads, and a banner asks you before that changes. Decline and no analytics cookie is set. Your answer is stored in your own browser's local storage so you are not asked again; that is a record of your choice and nothing else, and clearing your browser data removes it.
When analytics is enabled, Google acts as our processor and receives the data described in Google's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Pages here link out to our product sites and to third parties such as Maven Central. Following a link takes you somewhere with its own policy, which governs from that point.
If you email us or book a call, we keep that correspondence in order to reply to it and to do the work you asked about. We do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to be added to. Booking a review signs you up for that review and for nothing else.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because this site collects almost nothing, that request is usually quick to answer. Write to solutions@kismet-software.com.
Changes
If this site starts collecting something it does not collect today — a contact form is the likely candidate — this page will be updated before that goes live, not after.
